Massimo is an Italian software engineer. During the last few years, he started to notice a change in his appearance every time he looked in the mirror, which seemed to be worsening. He began to feel uneasy; he didn't recognise the image he was seeing because his hairline was receding.

Using Treatment Area Mapping and Measurements (TAM+M), Dr Tam established a calculated treatment area of 68.17 cm2 to address Massimo’s hairline restoration, with a target harvest of 3,009 follicular unit grafts.
Using smaller follicular unit extraction (FUE) punches, Dr Tam can carefully gather grafts from the donor areas, maintaining the area for future use, if required, and optimising graft collection with regenerative techniques like partial FUE to leave enough healthy follicular tissue behind to heal, limit scarring, and reduce signs of intervention.
Using his IDEAL Technique, Dr Tam successfully extracted 3,188 grafts for Massimo; these were expertly prepared under the direct stereoscopic vision and magnification of a microscope to create individually separated hair follicles, and, in total, Dr Tam transplanted 7,494 hairs in ultra-high-density formation, including frontal placement of 420 of the all-important single hair follicles needed for a natural-looking hairline.
Dr Tam is expertly skilled in hairline restoration, noticing patient-specific patterns of hair loss that require specific approaches to treatment to achieve the best result. His attention to detail sets him apart from most other hair transplant surgeons.
Often, when looking at a receding hairline, this is the area that requires the most attention and transplantation; however, if you solely focus on correcting the hairline, the area immediately behind it becomes more noticeable by comparison.
